Animal Husbandry Polytechnic, Karimnagar

The Animal Husbandry Polytechnic, Karimnagar was established vide G.O.Ms.No.211,209,212,210 & 207, dt.23-06-2005 Agri. & Coop. Agri.III Dept., Govt. of AP. Under Admissions to the Institution have commenced from the academic year 2005-06 with an intake of 30 students. So far, 18 batches (2005-07 to 2022-2024) have successfully completed the course and some of them have been into A.H. Department and various other Non-Governmental Organizations. Students undergo through theoretical and practical training for 20 courses during a period of three semesters. Internship programme for diploma Students will be conducted during the last semester of the academic year in collaboration with A.P. Animal Husbandry Dept. for strengthening clinical experience of final year students. The main objective of this college is to promote basic animal husbandry education in theory and hands on practical exposure of veterinary first aid and other animal husbandry related activities with a view to generate para-veterinarians to work in rural areas of Telangana. This course provides employment opportunities for rural youth as para veterinary staff or Veterinary assistants.
