The Department of Teaching Veterinary Clinical Complex was established as per the Veterinary Council Regulations 1994 and later named as Veterinary Clinical Complex as per the Minimum Standardars of Veterinary Education (MSVE) regulations 2016. Irrespective of the name, the main aim of the clinical complex is to provide quality veterinary medical services to the livestock and pet animals. It is also involed in providing quality clinical training for the veterinary students of our institution. With financial support from the ICAR under Innovation Grants of National Higher Education Project (IG-NAHEP), the VCC at Rajendranagar campus has made a tremendous change in the diagnostic facilties. At present the VCC Rajendranagar is catering the needs of livestock farmers and companion animal owners with its state of art diagnostic facilities. In the 2024 for the first of its kind in the state of Telangana, Animal Blood Transfusion Unit was established under the CSR grants from Axis Bank. This facility is providing blood transfusion as an emergency procedure to needy patients. With these cutting edge diagnostic and therapeutic approach, the VCC, Rajendranagar is providing service to more than 40,000 patients that includes livestock and companion animals. Apart from these species, the faculty and facilities are also used to diagnose and treat wild animals of NZP, Hyderabad. Apart from diagnosis and treatment of various animals, the VCC also provides clinical training and research for graduate, intership and post graduate students. The institute and the faculty also provides training to the internship students of other state universities. The department has experienced faculty with expertise in specialised areas of internal medicine, cardiology, nephrology, oncology, dermatology, diagnostic imaging, endoscopy, surgery, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, and reproduction.
The out-patient timings of the hospital are 9am to 12.00 noon during all working and public holidays. Emergency treatment is available till 4.00pm.
