As part of the initiatives to strengthen capacity-building among rural farmers and support livestock development, the University has established a Farmers Training Centre communication from the CEO, SERP, Telangana, in reference to the Department of Animal (FTC) at the Administrative Office, PVNRTVU, Rajendranagar. This initiative follows the Husbandry and Dairying, Government of India, which identified the College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar, and the College of Veterinary Science, Korutla, Jagitial District as accredited institutions for Artificial Insemination training of Pashumithras (Self-Help Group women members). The FTC has been established to facilitate and coordinate these training programs effectively, starting from March 2021. Dr. Ch. Hari Krishna, Professor, LFC, has been nominated as the in-charge of the FTC to oversee its administration and coordinate with resource persons from various departments and SERP. The centre operates under the supervision of the Director of Extension and is equipped with the necessary infrastructure to support training activities to farmers.
