Consequent to the formation of the State of Telangana, the Government of Telangana established a separate Veterinary University named Sri P. V. Narsimha Rao Telangana State University for Veterinary, Animal and Fishery Sciences. The College has been brought under the fold of this new university since November 2014. Presently, this university is renamed as P. V. Narsimha Rao Telangana Veterinary University. It offers B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree program as per the VCI (MSVE–2016) regulations. Clinical training is imparted at the Clinical Complex located on campus and has various livestock units are maintained at the Livestock Farm Complex. Undergraduate students are imparted hands-on skills in the management of various livestock species such as cattle, buffaloes, sheep, goats, rabbits, and poultry. College is equipped with Library, a Physical Education Unit headed by a Physical Director and National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit.

Prof. Dasari Sreenivas, MVSc., Ph.D.
Prof. Dasari Sreenivas was appointed as the regular Associate Dean of the College of Veterinary Science, Korutla, Jagtial District, Telangana State, on 15-04-2024. He completed his graduation (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) from College of Veterinary Science, Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University (A.P.A.U.), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, in 1995 and obtained his M.V.Sc. in Animal Genetics & Breeding from the College of Veterinary Science, ANGRAU, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, in 1998. He earned his Doctorate in Philosophy (Ph.D.) from the College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar, SVVU, in 2011. He was awarded two Gold Medals for securing the highest OGPA in the undergraduate disciplines of Veterinary Anatomy and Dairy Sciences. Throughout his career, he has served in various colleges, research stations and Krishi Vigyan Kendra in multiple roles and responsibilities. He has also contributed to the Network Project focused on Buffalo Improvement and Animal Genetic Resources. In his academic career, he has guided 10 M.V.Sc. and 4 Ph.D. students to date.
