Various minerals are important in improving growth rate in calves, nutrient utilization, milk production, immunity, improving reproductive efficiency and preventing metabolic disorders Many commercial mineral mixtures available in the market contain all minerals, irrespective of its concentration in feeds & animals. However, indiscriminate mineral feeding of minerals will lead to adverse interaction in the metabolic pathways resulting in decreased production in spite of sufficient supplementation
